Baseline - MOCON, Inc. provides contractual after market service on it's more sophisticated products, and non-contractual service on all of it's products.
All personnel within the Service Department are capable of on-site service both domestically and internationally. On-site service consists of traveling to the customer's site with the parts, knowledge and expertise required to minimize or eliminate any down time. All members of the Service Team at Baseline-MOCON are thoroughly trained in service, repair, theory of operation and functionality of all of our products. Each person adds their expertise to the department as a whole and to each other member of the team through cross training and shared knowledge.

Telephone Support

Baseline - MOCON provides telephone support for questions that arise relative to the operation or troubleshooting of an instrument or clarification of training issues. If a client has an event and would like an interpretation of a chromatogram, a Baseline - MOCON Service Specialist can provide an expert opinion.

Maintenance Contracts

Many of our clients who purchase high-end systems also purchase a maintenance contract  to ensure that the instrumentation continues to function reliably. A maintenance contract provides two, on-site, preventive maintenance visits per year, approximately six months apart. In the unlikely case of a system failure, the maintenance contract also provides for one emergency on-site visit per year for system field repair.

Preventive Maintenance Visits

During a Preventive Maintenance visit, a Baseline - MOCON Service Specialist will inspect the entire system, install scheduled replacement parts and any parts deemed marginal at the time of evaluation, run a performance check, and provide a written report.

In-house Repair

Baseline - MOCON Service Specialists also perform in-house repair or field repair services for our non-contract customers. The repair process begins with a phone call before the instrument is returned (or a site visit commences), so that scheduling and materials can be anticipated to ensure a quick turnaround. All equipment returned to the factory for service is processed by Baseline - MOCON Technical Service Specialists.

Remote Diagnostic Services

Many Baseline - MOCON analytical systems can be accessed via modem, allowing a Service Specialist to connect to the instrument software remotely and diagnose the system. Once connected, the Service Specialist can make adjustments and determine which components are necessary to implement repairs. In this manner, modem service calls minimize downtime and help our technicians rapidly initiate the most cost-effective solution.
